Bit by the wiki bug
I’ve looked at and played with a few wiki engines but never really had a need to use one–until now. We’ll be upgrading our Blackboard implementation before fall quarter, and I think a wiki would be a great way to help with the transitions. The engine I’m testing is Tikiwiki, and it’s like a wiki on steroids–more of a CMS with wiki capability, you might say. I plan on using the wiki, articles, FAQ’s, forums, blogs, RSS modules, and polls or surveys. There really is a lot to learn, but this may be one easy way for me (administratively speaking) to get more instructors and their classes involved with blogging. We shall see!
