Doesn’t Reuters employ editors?
Linux Unlikely to Unseat Windows Soon - Survey
To get my goat, a student posted the above article to the class blog. I visited the site to read the article and found a couple of grammatical errors. I have underlined them in the quotes below for your convenience.
The Boston-based consulting and research company, owned by Reuters Plc, also say a switch to Linux, which can be copied and modified freely, would not provide any tangible business gains for those big companies.
The survey also found that although Linux’s momentum is undeniable, in the next two years, it will not dethrone Windows’s lead in running computers that store information and performs critical functions, known as servers.
I would hate to subject this blog to a grammatical analysis, but I expected more from Reuters. Oh, and don’t get me started on the content ;).
